Dave Angel lists his top 10 most influential tracks

Dave Angel lists his top 10 most influential tracks with a small description why this track means something to him. A nice selection featuring Miles Davis, D-Train, Lil Louis and Ront Trent among others.

His story about Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams:

This track is synonymous with my very early career. I made my own bootleg on two cassette decks, pressed up some white label vinyl copies and it went crazy in the clubs. RCA released it officially and it ended up in the UK Top 40 Singles.

I have read this story before in another interview and i think it’s totally inspiring. I think Surgeon’s¬†tweet¬†applies here:

The power of music doesn’t come from the tools used to make it. More than ever there’s too much emphasis on tools.

Dave made a track with minimal tools that actually ended up in the top 40 and started his career as a producer.
