Don’t Stop… Planet Rock

I found this EP digging through the LFO remix credits page on Discogs. I was after the “House Mix II” by LFO (where is the House Mix I btw? Is it floating around somewhere? is it tanked?) Anyway, this EP was pretty easy to find on iTunes. The mix that did it for me was another one than the LFO mix though. The Classic Mix done by Karl Bartos (Kraftwerk member between 1975 and 1990). Although this remix was done in 1992, after he had left Kraftwerk, it totally sounds like a Kraftwerk production. The vocoded vocals, the beat programming, the beat outro at 7:45.. Bambaataa and Arthur Baker used parts of Trans Europe Express and Numbers, with this remix it feels like it’s coming full circle.
